Nick specialises in the North West Office Market with a particular focus on asset management, tenant support and disposals. 

He has gained an unrivalled experience across Manchester’s premium office buildings, districts and out of town sub markets during his seven years at CBRE and three years at Colliers International. 

He has amassed an impressive track record of maximising value for clients by creating unique workspace and environments through innovative marketing campaigns and bespoke refurbishments. He is also recognised as an independent relocation adviser having acted for a number large corporate companies and SME’s. 

Throughout his career Nick has worked for clients ranging from large international property funds and private equity arms to regional property companies and SME tenants.  In 2013 he provided relocation advice to a global financial client which resulted in the consolidation into a 90,000 sq ft office building in Manchester City Centre. At the time the deal was the largest office relocation in the city centre for 6 years.

With his focused and driven character, Nick has developed extensive knowledge and experience providing best in class office consultancy to all his clients.

Andy Backhouse

Andy specialises in the disposal and acquisition of all types and sizes of industrial / distribution properties and land / development sites.

Recognised as one of the premier industrial agents in the North West having worked in the industrial market since 2002, for a range of companies including niche practice Davies Harrison and multi national firms Knight Frank and Colliers International.

He has a proven track record of delivering deals, property advice and original ideas by providing individually tailored service for all his clients whilst maintaining a honest and reliable service.

Throughout his career Andy has worked for clients ranging from large international property funds and development companies to owner occupiers and SME tenants.  In 2014 he provided acquisition advice to an international manufacturing client which resulted in the acquisition of a 240,000 sq ft purpose built facility in Warrington. Due to the complexity of this deal it was voted Deal Of The Year 2015 (75,000 sq ft – 250,000 sq ft) by the Industrial Agent Society.

Nicola is our retail guru, she lives and breathes all things retail, specialising in the northern region covering all aspects of retail real estate.

With over 10 years experience in this sector, Nicola offers a wealth of experience and knowledge in key northern retail markets, offering strategic advice to both landlords and occupiers undertaking acquisitions and disposals within Shopping Centre’s and on the high Street. 

Nicola has been based in Manchester throughout her career, with the last 7 years being spent with Cushman & Wakefield’s National Retail team. During these 7 years Nicola has gained significant experience in the retail sector representing institutional funds including, M&G, Aviva and Aberdeen as well as developers and private individuals. Recent projects include advice provided on the disposal and re-reletting of  BHS in York City Centre, Asset management and disposal advice on Acresfield, St Ann’s Square, Manchester and leasing strategy for Chester Grosvenor Shopping Centre and Crystal Peaks in Sheffield. On the occupier side Nicola has represented national retailers as well as smaller independents giving her a full insight and understanding of retail operations. 

Having developed a track record for commitment and dedication in her work, Nicola has built a reputation with clients for delivering service excellence. She provides considered advice and will ensure a seamless approach to delivering retail projects from inception to completion.

Alex Haigh

Alex has a varied background in retail and leisure with over 10 years’ experience,  acting on disposals, acquisitions, asset management and landlord & tenant. 

Previously Alex worked within the National Retail Team at Cushman & Wakefield in Manchester for 3 years, responsibilities included shopping centre leasing mandates (Preston St Georges,  Grosvenor Centre Chester & Crompton Place Bolton), high street disposals and corporate retailer mandates. Recent disposals include acting for Aviva at 103/105 Market St, letting to Holland & Barrett for a new flagship store in the North of England and a letting to Sainsbury’s for Ask Real Estate and the new Embankment office development in Salford.

Having worked at the Co operative for over 3 years, Alex gained significant experience as an asset manager working in the Commercial & Investment team, looking after a variety of portfolios throughout the UK, covering a wide range of market product from tertiary retail parades to large shopping centres. This experience is further enhanced by several years spent working as a L&T surveyor for Donaldson’s. Alex therefore offers rounded multi-disciplinary advice on retail and leisure assets for landlord’s or tenants.
